Find one or two that will make it all the easier to properly care for your fire prevention system and it will be all the easier to keep the facility safe.

  1. Extra Fire Extinguisher Cabinets

You currently have one fire extinguisher cabinet for each extinguisher that’s positioned somewhere in your place of business. That sounds great on the surface, but what happens when one of those cabinets is damaged? Do you place the extinguisher on a nearby table or set in on the floor? You already know what the fire marshal would think about that.

While the cabinets are sturdy, they could be damaged during a fire or even some sort of industrial mishap. Be prepared and keep a few additional cabinets on hand. Doing so ensures that if some are damaged, one quick trip to your supply area is all it will take to replace them.

Just like platform trucks and fire extinguisher cabinets, it never hurts to have space fire hose cabinets on hand. When on cabinet is beginning to get a little rusty or it’s damaged when someone needs to get to the hose during a fire, you won’t have to wait for a new one to be delivered. Keep one or two on hand and recovering from whatever happened with be quicker and easier.

From simple signs that you post to the electric exit signs you have placed around the building, it’s possible for them to fade or be damaged by heat or smoke. Once the fire is under control, take a look at all your signage. Is it still in good condition or does it need to be replaced? If you have a few replacements on hand, the task can be completed in no time.
