Telecoms company Network Telecom is planning to create as many as 40 new job opportunities if its extension plans are approved.
The Shropshire-based company has applied to extend its current home at Communications House in Hadley Park, Telford, England.
Network Telecom have been located at Hadley Park since 2007 and are now planning to bring all of its 100 staff members together in a single building, with plans of adding additional members. Head of Marketing, Chris Parkes, commented:
“At the moment the workforce is spread over two buildings. We have had a bit of a review into whether it would be better to have it all in one building. We are looking to expand our workforce. We have about 100 members of staff and various job roles and departments in which we can see growth. We are now having a restructure around growth, and have liaised with the company who build the original buildings, Wagstaff Group, about this.”
Network Telecom has expanded greatly in recent years which helped them land a place in the London Stock Exchange’s recent 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.
This came off the back of a revenue increase from £6 million to £10.5 million over the past three years.
Mr Parkes added:
“We are doing a higher volume of business now. We have a lot of outbound activity with a bigger call centre operation now, and have a marketing department which we didn’t have 18 months ago. We are generating more opportunities. We do pride ourselves on being with the times and are moving people away from traditional phone systems to cloud-based hosted systems, and are moving a lot of our existing customer base onto that platform.“
Established in 1993, Network Telecom has a customer base consisting of more than 3,000 businesses all over the UK.
Its expansion has come from a growth in the business base, providing customers with business telephony and hosted voice services, among others.
Mr Parkes added:
“We have seen strong growth over the last three years and have now been listed in the 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain report, that’s based on things like business growth. We were turning over about £6 million three years ago and are not at about £10.5 million, and our forecast will be for that to keep improving. To deliver that we need more personnel and room to put those personnel – hence the expansion.”
Network Telecom provide business telephone systems, call management, call recording, and business mobile solutions among many other services.
