As humans, we are all different. Of course, our Smartphone preferences would be different. But what does yours say about you? Size, color, brand, all have some sort of significance to us. Something special and specific that grabs our attention. Whether it is a Samsung, BlackBerry, or iPhone, everything about our smartphones speaks to our personalities, mind, and confidence.
Color May Say More Than You Think
It’s in our nature to want to be up to trend with the ‘coolest’ new color or feature on our smartphones. Black and white will always rank #1 and #2 in the market of anything that comes in a variety of colors. But according to psychologists, even going with non-colors can tell others what is happening in our minds. White phones are harder to keep clean and yet that is what a large portion of smartphone users go to. Owning one could show that you have sophisticated, clean taste with utter control while black smartphones could tell others you are easy going without a care.
Gold is also an increasingly popular color amongst consumers and on some devices it’s even replaced the option for white, this can be seen with the Samsung Galaxy S7 which is an increasingly popular device that is only available in black and gold, for more information on this device you can click here. Those choosing the gold handset could be considered to be more attracted to the image of luxury, in some instances those people may be wanting to present this luxury to those around them so that they’re associated with a high-end lifestyle.
Size Is More Than Your Hand
The size of our phones speaks volumes about us. Sometimes it varies for utility purposes. A large phone offers easier to read screens and if you have huge hands, you don’t want to be carrying around an itsy bitsy phone. There are smaller phones for smaller hands, but also, because pockets are tiny and few if you don’t have a case or cover and you work in an industry where it could get destroyed. But there are the occasions that smaller hands carry the larger screens and we all assume either the person is cocky or a follower of the latest smartphone, while in the same breath, we see those that carry smaller, older smartphones and assume they are stuck in their ways or are rebels with an unknown cause.
Branding the Brand
We’ve all asked the question, what brand is that? Clothes, shoes, and phones are often noticed and asked about. There are entire television shows that are only about the brand of something someone is using and wearing. Depending on the brand, we make assumptions. If we see someone with a BlackBerry, the first thing we think is they’re a professional of some sort. Or if it is an iPhone, that they are trying to stay on trend. And with Samsung, is it about the cutting edge technology that they provide that gives off an impression of a go-getter. The brand of smartphone speaks as loudly as the loud color you may choose and can say an awful lot about a person.
Of course, we are as diverse as the smartphones we carry but regardless of the choices we make in color, size, or brand, we can interconnect and network. We can share our tastes and ideas from the tiniest phone to the newest, largest model making us more similar than we may think.
